    A place to stay

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of a long trip. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with an overwhelming of air freshener/cleaner to possibly cover up the smell of smoke or an aging building. However, upon exiting the elevator on the third floor the smell seemed to have dissipated. The beds were quite comfortable (seemed new) and the room was clean. The room was quite warm when we arrived and it took a long time for the AC to kick in and cool the room to a temperature in which we could comfortably sleep. Navigating the hallways of the building was like navigating a labyrinth to some extent. It seemed they wound all around. Breakfast was nice and it surprised us to realize that the sounds of construction we had barely noticed during breakfast was a construction crew trying to clear the entrance canopy which had collapsed overnight. Staff were quick to redirect customers to use other exits but were not very helpful with specific directions. In all, I would stay there again if I were traveling that direction and needed an inexpensive place to stay but the kids were not fans at all (they tend to be a bit picky).

After a crazy few days of packing for my humans and preparing the house for new residents, we have begun our journey! We enjoyed pretty reasonable traffic, an absence of rain, very interesting feathery cloud arrows, and a beautiful sunset as we drove.

We stopped at this really cool place for dinner that had what they call "carhops." You …

In the final stages of planning our August 24 month long adventure in France. We will be landing in Paris at CDG airport on the morning of the 25th and trying to somehow find our way to the train station where we will get a train to Amiens - our first stop on our adventure.

Want to experience the adventure of traveling without preset places to stay, but geez luize it is kind of scary so am trying to put together a loose itinerary with lots of freedom built in - ...

... cup or snacks. It's the Buccos so of course go to the game, with some maneuvering and quick thinking it all was perfect. Quick diaper change in the bathroom before game, slice of pizza for the beastie (thank god we've made the full switch to real food, no baby food or mush, just making sure pieces are small enough and not too hard to bite through) so off to the game. It reassured me so much because we did it on the fly, as we travel we'll have to think fast ...

Pittsburgh was not really what I expected. A dirty feeling city but had a fantastic river frontage area with plenty of activities to get the locals out on a nice day.

Wow love Ohio. Don't know why you moved to New Zealand Curtis when you had this.
Reminds me so much of New Zealand with beautiful farms and rolling countryside yet in the Hocking Hills region it was like the bush area around Rotorua. Their corn and ...
