    A place to stay

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of a long trip. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with an overwhelming of air freshener/cleaner to possibly cover up the smell of smoke or an aging building. However, upon exiting the elevator on the third floor the smell seemed to have dissipated. The beds were quite comfortable (seemed new) and the room was clean. The room was quite warm when we arrived and it took a long time for the AC to kick in and cool the room to a temperature in which we could comfortably sleep. Navigating the hallways of the building was like navigating a labyrinth to some extent. It seemed they wound all around. Breakfast was nice and it surprised us to realize that the sounds of construction we had barely noticed during breakfast was a construction crew trying to clear the entrance canopy which had collapsed overnight. Staff were quick to redirect customers to use other exits but were not very helpful with specific directions. In all, I would stay there again if I were traveling that direction and needed an inexpensive place to stay but the kids were not fans at all (they tend to be a bit picky).

After a crazy few days of packing for my humans and preparing the house for new residents, we have begun our journey! We enjoyed pretty reasonable traffic, an absence of rain, very interesting feathery cloud arrows, and a beautiful sunset as we drove.

We stopped at this really cool place for dinner that had what they call "carhops." You …

... So off I go. Get there and they want me to pull up my selfie on Twitter. I don't use Twitter so it took about 10 minutes for me to figure it out. Finally the media lady gives up on me and gives me a 2015 U.S. Open hat. On the way out I try to get in a drawing for more stuff. I had to hit a green in 2 and get closest to the pin. I snap hook one 120 yards, 309 yards left. At this point the girl helping me leaves. I pull ...

Today we did some boring laundry this morning and some cleaning of the camper, then went to the water park and met up with cousins, so excited!

We did the water park for a while, then went back to our camper for a BBQ. We have been trying to explain to our cousins 'why' we would possible go camping for 53 days, it is completely out of ...

... and we drove through rain almost the entire day! Even so, there were many things to be seen as we traveled.

We passed a golf course made up of more water hazards than I ever remember seeing at a golf course! ... oh ... Mom says that wasn't normal or planned ... that was the rain. I guess that makes sense since there also were no golfers on the course and it was Saturday.

We stopped for lunch at a travel plaza and ate at the Panera ...
