We stayed here for one night at the beginning of a long trip. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with an overwhelming of air freshener/cleaner to possibly cover up the smell of smoke or an aging building. However, upon exiting the elevator on the third floor the smell seemed to have dissipated. The beds were quite comfortable (seemed new) and the room was clean. The room was quite warm when we arrived and it took a long time for the AC to kick in and cool the room to a temperature in which we could comfortably sleep. Navigating the hallways of the building was like navigating a labyrinth to some extent. It seemed they wound all around. Breakfast was nice and it surprised us to realize that the sounds of construction we had barely noticed during breakfast was a construction crew trying to clear the entrance canopy which had collapsed overnight. Staff were quick to redirect customers to use other exits but were not very helpful with specific directions. In all, I would stay there again if I were traveling that direction and needed an inexpensive place to stay but the kids were not fans at all (they tend to be a bit picky).

After a crazy few days of packing for my humans and preparing the house for new residents, we have begun our journey! We enjoyed pretty reasonable traffic, an absence of rain, very interesting feathery cloud arrows, and a beautiful sunset as we drove.
We stopped at this really cool place for dinner that had what they call "carhops." You …
... decided to go up to see the Flight 93 Memorial. It was a scenic rider up to the location and when you turn into the Park you drive a 3.5 mile driveway to get to the current memorial. They are in the process of building a bigger Visitor Center and walkway and a 40 Memorial Grove of Trees (which are almost planted and represent the total passengers & crew). We walked up the ramp toward the Wall of Names and in the field is a boulder placed there by the Park ...
... stadium from the highway. A beautiful setting for a university, but I still think UW with its classroom buildings, dorms and Memorial Union right on the lake is still the most beautiful campus ever. I might be prejudiced.
Not too many photos today....I am still trying to convince Armando that he can take lots of photos and it's okay.....he is NOT wasting film!!! When I ...

I found myself holding a baby, about eight or nine months old (Maddie is nine months old), and I walked with her over to a spot where the sunshine was pouring in through the holes in the roof. We could see the rain glistening in the sunbeams. I said, “Look, you can touch the rain in the sunbeam,” and Maddie and I reached out and touched the ...

The rural areas reflects prosperous living and the city of Columbus is so neat. Clean, tidy and easy to get around. Arena area would be so neat on a game night and the cities current development work on the riverfront show their progressive thoughts.
Unfortunately no home football game on whilst there as wanted to see the renown Ohio State University Band. Saw them on TV and put on an amazing show.
