I know today is Monday and we arrived here Saturday afternoon, but my favourite camera decided to go flat. I'm writing this Monday, so the photos I took today (Monday) they are much the same as Sunday's ones.

Yvonne and I had the morning to ourselves, as we weren't planning to catch up with Max and Sarah until the early afternoon. Today we started out overly ambitious. We thought we could tackle the Field Museum of Natural History and the Shedd Aquarium. Before setting out on the mission this morning though I had a rare moment of extreme good fortune. I realised that I had miscounted our days and that we still had three full days left in Chicago, not two. It was a most exciting feeling as I'd thought we wouldn't be able to fit everything in. ... and, given that there are Chicago Blackhawk ice hockey team signs hanging from practically every surface in Chicago, you can tell that at least for now, ice hockey is where Chicagoans' hearts lie.
