... before the next show, so I quickly munched down my sandwich whilst Colm drank his water. He was keeping to just a water diet for the next day or so. The exploring space show was amazing and Colm now decided that he wanted to be an astronaut! I can't keep up with him! It was an insight into the international space station and plans to send people to Mars by 2030. We'd better start applying now!

Crossing the Colorado/Nebraska state line means another time zone change, so clocks forward for us again. After Omaha, Nebraska, the lush green fields and hills are reminiscent of the UK and are a surprise to us. Houses here, as across the country, are only one or two storey, some brick but mainly timber clad, along wide streets. They have front lawns but generally without any bushes ...
... you don't spend at least a few hours on the U.S. Side as well. Next day it's another long drive to New York where we return the car and have several days in the big apple.
