    John not feeling very well with a nasty head cold, and he slept until about noon. We actually didn't do much at all today, to give him some rest and hopefully time to recover.     Up over some more mountains and down again to near Beatty where we joined Nevada roads. Still rugged beauty but not as spectacular as Death Valley. Soon onto a highway heading for Vegas.

    Got to Vegas at 8 but it was hard to get to reception. The Sign said "Valet Full" so I pulled up the next lane out with the Taxis and was promptly told "YOU can't park here". ...
