... for beers and pizza. We stayed out all night playing horseshoe and pool, it was great fun.
I pulled up a little sore in the head this morning and have made a collective agreement with myself not to replicate that degree of ethanol consumption.
In all seriousness, a hangover is a waste of one of my precious days where I could be out rock climbing or experiencing new things. It's barely worth it back home and definitely not out here.

... for 7 years as a cook for monks in Nepal, and along with Nepalese can now speak 6 languages. We was a very genuine and sincere man and pretty bloody inspirational. He had many stories to tell and we were all ears. The next few days passed pretty quickly, with pack repairs, loud Irish, Columbians and Kiwis, as well as routine visits to all the local buffets. We visited Kelly's dad Bart and step mother Maggie in Auburn and while there we also saw Uncle Jimmy.

Bart and Maggie live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's where gold was discovered in 1848. It's a beautiful area - with many of the country charms you would find in Vermont.
