... ready for cooler temps as it will be close to 100 here in the Sierra foothills over the next few days. Only 80's in Nevada & Utah but cooler in evening.

Left Moab Utah headed for the Lake Tahoe area. Spent one night in Elko NV at a very nice RV park that had a great grass lawn by our motorhome. Felt so good to put our feet in grass again.
Once we left Elko, we stopped at a rest stop only to find out that we were at the Bonneville Salt Flats where land speed records have been set. Actually walked out on the flats. The racing was done 5 ...

... is that the water sources are getting more far apart. Leaving Sierra City, the PCTA.org has a water report for the next 500 miles. Gotta be water conscious again like in the desert. The trail was less crowded today and I was happy about that. The July 4th crowd vanished or was perhaps hung over. Not many PCTers either. They were probably hungover too or in food coma from the July 4th parties. Many PCTers made it a point to be in town to party. I was done by 7pm ...

Fun Fun fun!!!
We were all out in the snow here and at Ananda Village taking photos. Charles, our gardener, said to not disturb any of the trees or plants by shaking off the snow as they will bounce back once the snow melted later in the day, which it did and which they did.
