... traffic we only have an hour. To be honest, it is absolute bedlam and an hour is all you need. The last leg of the drive is to our gateway hotel, The Hacienda. After checking in we meet at the lobby and go to a nearby restaurant for a farewell meal and drinks and reminisce. ... to the Admiral Lounge where we could shower and then relax in the lounge with a meal and drink from the bar. - very civilized. Paul ordered a grilled 3 cheese Panini which was 1050 calories - OMG!. It was so big we could have shared it and it came with a huge pickle on the side - too much cheese!
It is a lovely sunny day in Los Angeles 65 deg F or 25 deg C.
... our apartment was smooth. I had studied the way on google maps so even without a GPS, I knew where I was going. Also I've stayed at the Ritz Carlton just next door so the area seemed very familiar. Robert (our Airbnb host) was waiting for us as planned and showed us around the apartment. The view is amazing however the bed is a bit too soft and wish the place had a safe. Otherwise very happy to have started our honeymoon.
... expecting a dirtier city, but were pleasantly surprised. From here we decided to head to Hollywood Boulevard. On the way, we were distracted by a huge sign that said Star Maps. Were we really going to stalk the stars!? Yup and we paid 15 for a map for the privilege. Now it sounds like a cool idea, but the reality is, it's quite boring.
