      ... had been fermenting for 5 days, which was less alcohol-y but still as strong.  The guide was quite keen on us smelling things, as he also made us stick our heads into the mellowing chambers, where the alcohol trickles through 10ft of charcoal over 40-odd days.       ... that water met the turquoise blue of the Caribbean water. We arrived at the Port Au Prince airport. When we hit the gate, the heat hit us! 96 degrees & sunny!
