... than once in the midst of night, we were loudly awoken for unknown reasons. The first Ryan claims was a train...still to be determined, and the second was because there was an entire Air Force Troop being led through their morning workout. Not only were they within a football fields distance and easily in view out the window, their Commanding Officer was accordingly loud in his direction while the troops yelled out their reps of whatever they were doing..push ups? Annoying at the time ...

If sleep exhaustion is a sign of a good time, we have just had the time of our lives, ha, ha, ha! We made it to Nashville to catch up with a friend we made in Michigan and to check out the night life and check it out we did. We didn't go to bed before 3am too many nights in a row, Polly (our friend) has some serious stamina!

Innocently we headed to downtown Nashville to check out the eats ...

Today we went to the Hermitage which was the home of Andrew Jackson president of the United States 1828-1837. It is a beautiful 2 story mansion in the country side. Susie just loves the fall color we have been seeing here. The mansion has gardens and Pres Jackson and his family are all buried here.

Today we were mostly on the road. Stopped in Jackson TN to see Casey Jones museum ad had lunch. Casey Jones was a train Engineer who stayed with a train even tho it cost him his life to save his passengers. A freight was on the wrong track as he came around a bend, he told his fireman to jump. The fireman lived another 57 years, Casey died, The fireman told people what Casey had done making him a legend in Tennessee and the world. Its a true story ...

... out already , never the less I still can't believe that I'm actully here. The hostel that I am staying at is brilliant. Ron and his wife Tracy (the owners) and Hope ( the lady that works here) are absolutly brilliant. I would strongly suggest to anyone coming to Nahsville to stay here. By the way is there anyone left in Australia? The amount of Aussies that I have met here ...

How to pack for such a trip? What about Choir ris**s, sound and lighting gear, kettle drums, an organ, a harp, celli, double basses, conc**t clothing, and the p**sonal luggage for 574 minstrels. Well, it takes:

• 2 semi trucks
  
• 4 luggage trucks
  
• And 8 vans

... would ever eat there. We arrived in Hendersonville at my parents' place just around sunset. It was awesome to see the beautiful finished pool. My mom had prepared a nice salad and I enjoyed just hanging out and visiting with them while Colin and Amanda went to bed early. In the morning the ever-present Tennessee sun was up and so of course so was I. The house was pretty quiet with Stephen in school and dad at work, so we just hang out and I go for ...

I know you're supposed to make a thing for every day but this was three years ago so I don't remember exactly. I went to different schools in rough areas every day and talked to kids. It was really cool because a lot of them didn't have many people to talk to.
