Spent 2 days in Yangshuo, 1 night in Xingping, and 2 night in Guilin, before taking the train to Nanning; and then the sleeper train from Nanning to Hanoi. Great Hostel - Yangshuo 11 - with fantastic views forms it's roof. Swam in the Li River and visited the markets. Took the bus to Xingping - a smaller, less touristy village upstream on the Li River. Explored the farming village across the river by ferry. Guilin was big and bustling, but not half as bad as ...

Left of the main falls is a group of cascading single waterfalls. The middle the main flows of water and to the right hidden in the trees ...

We actually high-fived as we crossed through the China-Vietnam border as we were so excited to leave.

... as people stood outside and used megaphones to attract people to their sales. The highstreet is just bursting with colour, lights and groups of girls shopping. After a few hours of wandering we popped into a Walmart which was an experience in itself. It was huge and had so many food demos including one lady dressed in a Kick-Ass style costume giving out lemonade. We queued to ...

... got some funny looks. I got a surprize when I went to the loo as it was just a wet room with a tiny slope at one side which was full of toilet paper...I thought maybe I had stumbled into a urinal but every stop through the day this was what the women's toilets were like!Thankfully there were also 2 cubicles with holes in the ground, so you can have a little privacy! When we were next to the border we reached quite a busy town called Langson. We were so ...
