... is really hard to ignore a very large plop of bird **** right in the middle of the windshield. It seriously hampered the sightseeing untill our first fuel stop. We took our time and stopped in Hog Island at a small country store in search of local delicacies. We found plenty. Cheese Curd, Kippered Beef, Smoked Whitfish and Salmon along with Pasties. ... ankles - too cold for me, although Wes went in deeper..

Had lunch in a quaint little cafe which was a secondhand bookshop. There were rows of coffee cups hanging on hooks each with a person's name above the hook. People go there and have their own cup to use - the cups are all the same - bought from the cafe. I had a sandwich made out of rye swirl bread - looked like a chocolate swirl cake. The habit of giving crisps with a meal is still alive and well (crisps on ...

... her. She was issued a citation"....wow, a citizens self arrest....and all she gets is a citation...no arrest... We stopped for lunch in Ashland, WI...and just had to laugh...first place we stopped, right on the beach, we parked the car and went to the bathroom and while we were gone, a daycare of toddlers and teachers showed up and took over the empty table we were heading for....so we drove down to a park in the main part of town. Had to go through construction to get to ...
