Wake up, look out our window, it's raining. Shower, dress, look out the window it’s SNOWING. Today was like a nice relaxing Sunday drive through paradise. First we went to the Flume Visitors Center, in the Franconia Notch State Park, for a movie about the geography of the area.

We then traveled on the Kancamagus Highway, one of the National scenic byways. We saw rain, snow and ...
... and an Artist Studio are the only three businesses in town and all owned by an ex-California who fell in love with the town and moved his family there. The General Store is registered as the oldest, continuously operating general store in the country. Walking through the front door was entrance to the visual treat of a lifetime.
The art studio – www.pursleyart.com - is also owned by a ...

The following day we drove further North and West, via Bennington county, famous for its covered bridges which we really loved. Tras ...
Every June the Mt Washington Auto Road becomes a motorcycle only road. And every year I think about making the trek. With my new Victory Vision this is the year I finally ascended to the highest point in New England.
I stayed at the HI Hostel in Conway - it's a reliable place, close to restaurants and you can meet some interesting folks there.

Well, it is amazing how this whole trip we have had trouble getting Morgan and Coralyn up each morning to get ready for traveling (you know - dressed, put bedding away, breakfast !) and yet the morning of EFY - WOW - 6:30 am they are up and armed with the straightener !! Woodstock, New Hampshire, United States pringlefarm... Everyone was saying it was alright and loads of people were waiting for me on the other side of the river....except thinking about it the only people who had managed to swim across the rapids to that side instead of coming out on the beach side of the river were the girls who work in our swim department, most of whom are lifeguards...duh. So I plucked up the courage... I jumped in, got towed along in the water by the rapids and started swimming across, trying to make my way ...
