Leaving Missoula via The KBGA Bus!
I am writing this entry from comfort of my living room in Missoula, Montana.
Kingston (my dog) is staring up at me and laying his muzzle on my knee, looking at me, sniffing, licking, calmly telling me to get off the computer and go play with him in the sunshine ...
... and Gullfoss
That's it so far, I have a long way to go.
Once in Scandinavia I'm hoping to jet north. (no detailed plans here yet) I'd like to venture around Bergen and possibly up to Trondheim when in Norway, and if it's not to freezing, head up to Lapland north of the Arctic Circle, especially if I didn't get a chance to see the Aurora in ...
... away,my eggs are getting cold" look.I'm generally perfect as usual, but evidently, I can be grumpy and sarcastic.I don't see, however, what's wrong with wearing clothes two days in a row if you don't spill anything on them. My only problem is MY ASS HURTS! Honestly, we're having a ball.I'm going to try to send this before Linda sees it.
Missoula, Montana, United States lindasgibbons... definitely worth checking out.
We are now in a fancy dancy KOA campground in Missoula, where we were able to take a shower for the first time since we left. I smelled like roses the whole time, but Jess on the other hand, ( I just got punched), smelled lovely too.
Tomorrow were off to Bozeman, then Yellowstone.
See ya,
Nic and Jess
... The ride down I don't watch.
We arrived to at this nice park and it was raining (which it has done every evening since we have been on the road). The topic of conversation when you talk to a Montanian is the amount of rain they have had this year. They said that usually this time of year everything is burned up from the dry ...
Instead of driving back through the Tetons and Yellowstone, which would have taken hours, we drove north, strait through Idaho and headed to Missoula, Montana. On the way we stopped at a local brewery and sampled the spirits. Little did we know we would hit two more breweries that
day. But I guess that's how those sort of days start. We stayed with a couch surfer and great guy, Bob. He knew the town well and was ...
... with a picnic dinner and enjoyed a concert in the park - the Missoula Symphony playing a western themed concert. In the morning we enjoyed a leisurely coffee and then said good bye to Lisa and her lovely home. We drove southeast, across the rolling ranchlands of Montana, once again crossing the continental divide and stopped just outside Yellowstone National Park.
Missoula, Montana, United States zigdog1... I watched her family surreptitiously as they splashed and little E. changed clothes in her lounge chair. It was strange to know and not know them. It was strange to be in this city long enough that I felt I should know them. Last time they were in Alaska when we visited; the time before we had a nice dinner the night before our plane left town. So - we talked. Yes, they have compost, and weren't too weirded out by our offer to present their pile ...
Missoula, Montana, United States kirafiddle... I balked, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. We could always sell it on ebay when we returned home. Still, I felt like doing this represented some sustainable-parenting failure on my part. What kind of mom was I when I couldn't survive without this 21st-century gadget? CVS didn't have one. They sent us to Walgreens on the other side of the station. Joe stayed with the kids at the food court while I ran over; typical of the issues we faced as ...
Missoula, Montana, United States kirafiddle... given me several pointers and criticisms that I would like to share with you 1. The most ominous is "Beware the path you must take and follow your original plan" - This has freaked me out a lot as I'm not sure what that was any more! 2. I am a good spirit surrounded by a black aura - That I take a lot of comfort in in a very strange way 3. I think too much I think that is evident in this thesis of a blog I hope Bear would not ...
