We spent 2 days in Iron Mountain, Michigan. It is a nice little town with connections to Henry Ford, lumber for transporting cars and Kingsford, charcoal. I can't even begin to describe the last 8 days. We haven't done anything really exciting, but these last few days have been darn close to heaven. ...

... The rest if the town surrounds the hill, with a huge church at the top, behind which I have pitched my tent. I write this from the bar downtown, and beers are an inexplicable $1.50. Perhaps it is Michigan's taxes, or this place is just awesome, either way it is treating me well. Today is kind of day. Early start with sunlight, hearty breakfast, early finish, quiet, free place to camp, good bar, good food. Good night. Mercer WI > Crystal Falls MI, 90 miles, day ...
