Loved this place but it was a bit far to travel to and from Yosemite. The road being so close was a bit annoying but it had a really nice swimming pool and the place was clean and tidy

Today is our last day in San Francisco.. we had enough of the weather but loved the great feeling of the city itself.. time to go bush.
We picked up the hire car after the hotel manager made us walk around the block with our bags to avoid the hobos! This didn't work except getting us all hot and bothered and still saw all the hobos.

It was changed in 1912 to Oakhurst in order for people to forget a stage coach robbery and in fact most residents were not aware until the Post Office notified them. Although gold was found in the area Oakhurst was more of a service city, especially after Yosemite grew in tourists visits.

... we are here. The campground is small and tightly packed. We decided to chill before we hit the road tomorrow.

In our travels especially since Arizona we have come across a lot of rental RV's and many of them being rented by foreign travelers. It is not strange to go into one of the parks and hear several different languages spoken and it is nice to know that travelers from other countries are enjoying our National Parks.
