Final transition and she was looking good. She had a pretty good run but does prefer the full marathon. Her final place was 19 out of 138 for her age group. Her final time was 4.56 hours just 20 minutes behind the winner of her age group. Overall in the half marathon she ran the third best time in her age group.

She has pulled up pretty well and is pretty excited about competing in the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona in a few weeks ...

... worth a couple of millions dollars at this stage. I will try to remember to put up on the blog an empty shot, half full shot and a full shot. It is pretty amazing to see the difference.

We then headed to Smoke's Poutinerie Tremblant for Poutine for lunch. This is a typical Canadian ski resort dish consisting of fries, cheese curds and gravy. Noel and I went for the basic but David had the Poutine bacon burger which had the same as ours plus bacon, mince meat ...

    ... Nothing else gets added.

Noel and I went to downtown Mont Tremblant which is about 4 Kms from the village. It is a really pretty village, lots or restaurants. The restaurants were full. The facades and frescoes of the buildings reflect the architectural heritage of the town.

We needed to buy a prepaid mobile phone card but not with much success. We also had to replenish our wine stock and found an IGA ...

... absolutely perfect except for the small shower we had on our first day. Since we have been here is has been about 26 degrees and Friday is going to be 28 degrees.

We spent some time at the IRONMAN Village. We met the Race Director, Dominique Piche and he explained the course, the start and finish and the transitions zones. It was great to see the bike transition empty. In a few days there will be over 2500 bikes ...
