      Larry here again.

Just south of the Nebraska/South Dakota border lies the little town of Valentine, NE. A few miles north of town is the Fishberry Campground, which is located with the boundaries of a working ranch. When we arrived late afternoon, it was mostly empty. By 10 p.m. it was mostly full. Apparently lots ...

Enjoyed dropping in to the gun show associated with Bull Bash. Met a bright young couple who moved here from a faraway state for teaching jobs and because they wanted that unique and wonderful rural lifestyle. So inspired to meet people like that, who are living purposefully and making such good choices!

After a full day, we headed out of town after another highly successful Bull Bash event.

After a long day of campaigning, it was great to enjoy a quiet dinner, just Dawn and me, at the wonderful Neon Grill in the Motel Raine in Valentine. Thanks, Tim and Dana, for a warm and wonderful atmosphere, and your cooking is out of this world!

Next, we went to the Go Red for Women fund-raiser ...

... Falls and the Horseshoe Falls, it does much better commercially. The American side has a few forlorn souvenir shops with tired-looking, gum-chewing, seriously overweight shop assistants, the elbow of the arm on the counter supporting their head. The streets around these shops consist of vacant lots and abandoned buildings. It’s a slum, frankly.

So after enjoying the American side, Mrs Henry and myself repaired across the Rainbow Bridge to ...
