258 Great Apline Road Myrtleford, Victoria, Australia
... seeps away to reappear further down the valley. Further along the Grampian road I found a sign to Mt William and thought "what the hoo" and followed it. It was to be a slightly less painful repeat of the Mt Oberon experience. Drive to a car park – follow what looks like a short road to the top and an hour later finally turn the last of the switchbacks which take you to the top of this maddeningly rounded hill. Great ...
Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia doctormick... on Saturday we just went to the pub and then to Chris’ place after that, I crashed there, we hung out on Sunday, met up with everyone, caught up on what had happened, chilled till like late afternoon – then I finally went back to Igor’s. And since then I’ve just been working as usual, Monday the vans all got exchanged for cars, cute little fast Mitsubishi Lancers, I love it!

... roads. It didn't even possess a park (what's this?! A country town without a park? Unheard of!) so we ended up sitting on the tables outside the cheese factory and bought some of their food to complement our picnic lunch of dinner's leftovers.
The Milawa cheese factory turned out to be a big complex of cheese tasting and purchasing, bakery and cafe, with a small chocolate section as well. Bliss! The bread looked so good I wanted ...
... too warm to snooze in the cabin. Later we headed out with my Uncle to check out Pennyweight Winery, the winery we'd seen the sign for on the railway path at the end of the morning's ride. I was really impressed to see they'd gone to the trouble of getting their products both Organic and Biodynamic certified. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to taste all the varieties on offer - two whites, three reds, and five fortifieds. We were intrigued by the Gamay, which ...

We then spent a few hours at Beechworth, an historic little town which still has an operating telegraph station. We went on a scenic drive along the gorge (which was quite narrow with our big bus!)
After we headed down to the town of Bright and then into Mount Beauty, stopping at the overlooks of the town.
... fight. We all ganged up on Renee which was fun. We than went back down the mountain. Still the visibility was ****, but you take the good with the bad & at least we can say that we had snow fall on us.
We got back to the cabin around 3:30ish & stoked up the fire to prepare for a night of NCIS & master chef watching. Kath & Nae went & returned our snow boots while I & Belinda chilled.
It was a great day, something none of us who will never forget.
... time I actually found the park, it was pitch black, and this was, (actually a good thing) the reason why I saw an abundance of wildlife driving along this road, including the koala and owls!!
After Sale, I stayed at Paradise Beach for 2 nights, which is part of 90 mile beach. This was utterly beautiful, with miles and miles of endless sand, and that delightful ocean roar lulling one to sleep. I decided to take the day off, and sit around on the beach drinking an alcoholic ...
... s great products and the farm, we would rate this as one of the best honey establishments we have seen. We stopped off at the microbrewery called Bridge Road for a quick couple of wheat beers while sitting under a roof which once was a coach house, quite an amazing place. Our next stop was the best of all in every kid's eyes, both big and small as we entered the Beethworth Sweet Company. This shop had everything, I mean it had the best window ...
Myrtleford, Victoria, Australia serenitynow... found that there are some sounds that I just cannot make! However, anyone that knows me, also knows that I like a challenge and don't give up so I perservered. After listening to the first two lessons, FOUR times over, I can finally say (and more importantly remember) some basic words and phrases. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can learn enough to have a conversation. Well this is the goal anyway. Stay Tuned..................
Wangaratta, Australia shazlex... trip occurred, when Melissa became an auntie for the first time, to her sister's new addition Carys, born at a "bonny" 10lbs 2 ounces by C-section, four days after it all started. Ouch. Just very, very ouch. Thus the van was christened in joyful recognition of the fact. Well done Jem!!] Despite one slight scare on the roads (when I was convinced I was about to be pulled over for speeding but the ozzer-rozzer went for the car behind me instead), we made good distance into the ...
