The mountains and valleys are untouched, and look like something straight out of a Jurassic Park movie set. It was breath taking, and for the first time this trip I have been silenced by Nature's sheer beauty. Dinner was probably the shittiest we've had all trip, in the Ships Italian Restaurant, La Cucina. For dinner we had a roasted chicken from Costco with steamed green beans and mashed potatoes. A meal for 4 under $10. If you have access to a kitchen while on vacation having a few meals at 'home' is a great way to save a few dollars.

... She also marched in with a birthday cake and a comedy candle that played the 'happy birthday' tune. As usual I was being spoiled by my wife. My presents included a Hawaii keyring, a Hawaii singlet and my favourite - a solar-powered Hula girl (not life-size) who jigs her hips when the sun shines - brilliant!!

We didn't have a particular plan for my birthday, except jumping ...
