Do little day

A travel blog entry by lashez on Aug 11, 2015

Today we didn't bother with an alarm and we woke up around 930 and headed to breakfast. We had decided since neither of us particularly liked Milan that we would take another day trip somewhere and headed to the train station to buy tickets. When we arrived we went to a serve yourself ticket station. One guy was trying to help people and pretend he worked there. He had a ...

After swimming we changed and walked around Milan. Soon ...

Serrano was a totally different part of Madrid altogether. Very fashionable and upscale. I felt like I was walking through Milan or Paris to be honest and felt very underdressed in my jeans and ...

... much larger than I was expecting, and very well patronaged (it appeared to be full of Milanese people, wandering around enjoying the sun). Unfortunately there were also loads of touts who swooped on both Garth and me (plus any other tourist) if we stopped for more than two seconds. This made it hard to read the information about the Castle's history. There is a very old bit at the back of the Castle which has not been renovated, and it gives a good indication of what the ...
