For such a small ride it did create quite the tummy sensation as we swung back and forth. He was done with the rides after that, so the three girls went on the Scrambler spinning ride and then I went round again as it my favourite kind of ride. Quite a pleasant seaside fun fair and we did the stereotypical things one should do on a seaside pier so I call it a success.

As people who can’t toilet train a fox-terrier to sit reliably it was impressive to see the canary fly a dollar bill to people in the audience.

We then ventured up to Santa Barbara, with a quick (6 hours) stop at the outlet mall and then on to Pismo Beach to see Sally and Kirra (Jay’s sister and niece).

We spent some time enjoying the famous Pismo Sand Dunes and being amazed by the size of the USA 4WD and Motor homes, especially the ones on the beach, they are HUGE! We ...

For my final night in LA we are going to see an outside screening of A Clockwork Orange at the Hollywood Cemetery. I've not seen the film before and I'm looking forward to seeing it outside. Hopefully I'll get a chance to use some Wi-fi tomorrow night at my hostel in San Francisco otherwise I won't be able to post again until Wednesday as I'm going for a couple of days in the redwood forest and it's likely the place I will stay in has no Wi-fi.

Catch you on the flip side.

... to get to a restaurant. After dinner, we grabbed groceries and came back for a quick swim and into bed early tonight. The hotel has a great fire pit with comfy chairs next to the pool. I could have stayed there for hours.
Redondo Beach is just a little south of LAX and the city proper, but it is a quieter middle class area, with a great beach that seems to get more day use, rather than night life.
