... Chicago was going to buy the Old State House from Boston and build it up again in a park there! That would just be embarrassing and so the Bostonian society reopened the State House. It has now been a museum longer than anything else. ... social lives wile we waited 40 mins for a table in the lounge area ...bizarre .... Finally we got a table near the window ..decided that after waiting so long we we're going to make the most of it so we ordered some cocktails and some food and some more cocktails ,listened to the Jazz admired the view and ordered some coffee and desert and ordered some more cocktails .Bad move for Tracey as it turns out ...but fun was had by all ,though after coming downstairs to find a cab ...

... curries which definitely warmed the belly. Later that night we went to a flash little bar called Citi Bar where we made up for lost (drinking) time. Our waitress was like any other Bostonian, extremely well mannered, so-much-so that we were able to make a drinking game out of it! Every time she said "you're welcome" it was a drink.... we had a fair bit to drink that night. ...

... a vibrancy that appealed. The city was organised pretty well and maps are well marked out. Admittedly, we didn't venture too far out of town but what we saw, we liked. Beacon Hill....a suburb I've fallen in live with. It just felt...welcoming, interesting, old yet not stuffy nor full of itself...just nice. New York City is/ was just crazy-exciting, dangerous and a lifestyle that would be challenging for this oldie! Back to Boston. ...

... the bags to be delivered. Dinner this night was part of the package. We had clam chowder (specially asked for my the guide). Could only identify potato and celery in the clam chowder and there were other undefinable lumps which could have been anything. Tasted fine though. Main course was herbed chicken with creme brulee for dessert.

After updating the blog - had to sit in the foyer because there was no free wifi in the room - off to bed.
