Our days at Oceanside are coming to an end. Sunday we pack up and start the long trek home.
I am estimating it will take about six days to make the trip if the weather co-operates. We should be back in Ottawa on or about March 1st.

Oceanside has been good to us. It is a little rough around the edges, a number of homeless people, but that is common in ...

I was in awe of the complication and seriousness of lifeboat drill. The steps it would take to disembark not only the passengers but the crew. I pray as much as I love cruising I never have to experience what would be a total nightmare. I am also thankful for this so necessary training. We are not allowed to bring out the game boards, games, or other activities because they cannot be cleaned properly. If we use playing cards we must throw them away afterwards. Hahaha. And of course the big concern is that we are NOT allowed in passenger areas unless we were with the children. Not ...

        Hello from Oceanside Yacht Club,

We came over here to cut the super long trip from Avalon to San Diego in half. We had another great motor over. Lots of sun and flat, calm water. The highlight of the day was a visit from a large group of dolphins. We have seen them pretty regularly down here but today was special. A huge group, maybe twenty or so came right up to the boat and swam along with us in our bow wave.

... brought very bright and vibrant colours to the region. We spent all day walking around all the unique little shops. (much to David's enjoyment) We ate lunch at "Fiesta De Reyes" Mexican Restaurant, sitting outside in the courtyard. The town was decorated for the "Day of the Dead" November 1st, lots of decorative Skeletons. Purchased a few little souvenirs ..... David at last got a skull he liked. Headed back to our hotel room exhausted, time to ...
