National Park Number 27 - Lassen Volcanic

... following day was a drive to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The visitor Center was open but roads were closed, due to snow. The VC film was excellent and explained the 4 types of volcanos in the park. We were able to walk a mile up the closed off road to the Sulphur Works and check out some geothermal activity. Tomorrow is Sunday and we may just hang out here, one more night than planned, and leave here on Monday. We may get to Oregon next move, maybe not.

The drive to Crater Lake was via a winding road through the mountains. We stopped to see the highest elevation waterfall in the State of Oregon, which was a nice little hike up a mountain. It truly only took about 10 minutes to get there, and although not dramatic, it was beautiful.
