... previously in Egypt -fabric wrapped bulletin board -about 15 books (Arabic, school, and pleasure) -20 pair of shoes- some women in Egypt told me it's tough to find cute, comfortable shoes so I just want to be prepared -6 months worth of tampons (hope I packed enough, they're hard to come by in Egypt) -3 iPhones, a laptop, and an iPad -pillow, blanket, set of sheets ...and the list goes ...

... in Austin downtown...everywhere. I expect that during July when the average max is 36deg these rooftop bars would be pretty crowded.

Out for dinner with Sam and Ailien at ZTejas. They market themselves as a Southwestern Grill and have a diverse menu so you can't miss out. Sue and I had southern meatloaf which was superb...so was the cornbread and Tortilla soup.

Sunday morning found us moving a bit slower than usual, but we had wine tasting plans and wanted to get moving. Of course when there is good BBQ en-route, a detour is mandatory and off we went to another great BBQ institution "Salt Lick BBQ" in Driftwood. After Q and wine tasting we found our way to our accommodations for the night, "Baron's Creekside", a wonderful group of cottages designed to look like a Swiss village. ... hard back to the springs. We thoroughly deserved our dip in the springs, which was horribly cold but totally refreshing after our sweaty bike ride. The floor was slippery in the springs but the water was so clear! I was told there were fish in the deeper part but I stayed away from that bit! It was all very lovely and we returned to our cabins well and truly exhausted. Tomorrow we have to get up before 4am for an extra long journey so I'm having an early ...
