... cute little critters. One local animal visitor to the Park is not so cute. There are black bears that inhabit the bush around Mexico Beach. They have the routine of the Park worked out.

Garbage is collected on a Friday and each Thursday night they come to have a look in the big skip bins where the guests place their garbage, and of course in the garbage are food scraps, a sort of smorgasboard for bears.

The day started with a breakfast of Cranberry-Orange muffins and fruit. We then met with the Bakers to scope out the rally room and furnishings. Depending on how many people actually show up, it may be a little tight, but we'll manage. About 11:15 we piled in the car and drove out to Lavaca Bluffs Winery, again. I took my glass since I was not going to do a tasting again, so I had a glass ...

... The major coup of the day was filling up at Walmart and paying $2.99 a gallon (with the discount). We stopped at a lighthouse museum and drove by Lighthouse Beach which has an RV park right on the water. We then returned to "G/G" for lunch. Several months ago I coerced Bob into being the wagon masters for the Nov rally. He was hesitant, but finally agreed. Since we haven't been too far from home since May, we decided we would visit the Texas Lakeside RV Park in Port Lavaca and make sure we have a great rally. We left home this morning about 9:30 and arrived at the park a little after 1 pm. The drive down was uneventful except for one short wind gust. After getting set up, we drove into ...

      Headed home

Waking up in London was both happy and sad. Happy, because we are going home to see our girls and jump back into our life! Sad, because it was so wonderful to have two weeks together, free from duties or stress. For us to have this adventure was truly a gift that we will not take for granted. It has reminded us that we are adventurers at heart. The beauty of the greek islands will stay with us as we return to Austin.
