    ... casino. It is HUGE...much larger than the Venetian in Las Vegas, although the same motif. Jim tried his luck at Blackjack and we quickly had lots of time to go over to "Old Macau". We had expected to see an old Portuguese colonial city with old cobblestone walkways. These resembled the mosaic sidewalks in Rio de Janeiro, which is also Portuguese.     ... training facility. The Reds development league team was playing the Texas Rangers in the Reds Development team complex. Short visit, but glad we did it. From there to our hotel and laundry await. Dinner at Franco's Italian Caffe. Delicious meal: gorgonzola endive salad, ravioli, and chicken Contadina.     Went for a hike in the Sonoran Desert. Cloudy day but still warm which made for perfect hiking weather. Cool terrain, we were hoping to see some of the animals of the desert but they were all in hiding. Had a tour of downtown Scottsdale on the trolley. Scottsdale seems very high end ...

He welcomed us in to his home (in England we would say it's a detached bungalow with an adjoined garage) and showed us the souvenirs he had collected during his life.     ... huge PGA golf store but were not tempted. Ric*******ly brought 2 long-sleeve shirts on the trip and unfortunately we have been wearing that type of clothing rather than short sleeves. So we checked out Costco and ended up buying berries and a shirt. The next stop was Safeway where they honoured Heather's membership when I gave them her phone number. We stopped for greeting cards and stamps and a box for the mask we bought in Tubac.
