... shop as much as we do looking at all the cheesy stuff!) We arrived at San Luis Obispo late afternoon so had time to explore the town. That evening we went to a free concert in the town as there was a band playing most interesting time ever! Now the town was quite hippish and the band playing for a start were awful but the entertaining part was all the high old people dancing away at the front. ... the price.

Tomorrow morning, we are off on our travels again but we will definitely come back to Santa Barbara. We loved the slower pace of life the friendliness of everyone we met, the fabulous food and the beautiful buildings. The beach is lovely too, but there are some very special small coves just out of the centre that would be perfect for a day at the beach.


The "Big Sur" here we come.................we are getting closer!!!!

... vibe. The brewery had a large selection and a menu of appetizers to choose from to snack on while you drink. We ordered a individual pizza margherita to go with our beers (a Hoppy Poppy ale followed by a Davey Brown Ale for me, and Double IPA for Jeremy) and enjoyed the setting sun and twilight hours against the backdrop of the Santa Ynez Mountains.

... and the next day two of them were heading to LA so we managed to get a lift with them.
