On our day trip with Bill and Clemente we hit three spots the last of which was Santa Barbara. The guys remember when there were as many as eight different antique shops on the main drag. This trip, the city is down to one. It was chock a block full of goodies but not what we were searching for.
It was really on a whim, but we thought we would do what cousin Kay and husband Brian do on their adventures. We searched through all the record albums to see if we could track ...

... and it smelled unbelievably good.

Tomorrow, Saturday, I am working but then, my week-end will start. I really don't know what I am going to do yet. I might go visit more in dept the SB Old Mission or go to the Zoo. I also kind of need to go shopping because I didn't take enough clothes with me. I will have to figure out my plans for the week-end, I guess.

      See you next week, folks!

... freeway going through LA. There had been an accident and things were moving really slowly. By the time we got through it was already getting late in the afternoon so we stopped at a servo with some fast food joint, everyone was hungry so we had a feed. Then got back on the highway and smashed the rest of the trip nice and quick as we had plenty of people in the van and could use the car pool lane which makes things quicker. Along the journey ...

... meant to be couchsurfing with so Kyle and Kelsey asked their friend Franny if we could maybe stay with her for the night. One night turned into three so we hung out with them all at Franny's dads house in the hills of Santa Cruz, enjoying his hot-tub and beautiful views! We had to keep double checking that we weren't overstaying our welcome but it was so good to sleep in a real bed!

On the day we left, after a swim with the guys we headed back up on the freeway where ...
