... back at Santa Barbara. I had a lovely cheese burger. When we got back to the coach, it had lowered itself so that the door got trapped on the curb as it opened. However it didn't open enough for anyone to squeeze in so Adrian had to jack it up in order to get the door open. Getting back to the house I showed Maggie (David's Daughter) how to make a dump cake. For 6 years old she followed directions very well. Gel was surprised how easy it was. Maggie insisted she stay awake until the cake was done so she could have a small piece with ice cream before she had to go to bed.
I though both Maggie and Gel licked the bowls clean.

As for the Pacific North West and the coastal drive south, it was a gem. It lived up to a reputation for stormy weather, spectacular scenery and cosmopolitan cities. While our visit was merely something to whet the appetite for later explorations, we enjoyed both the scenery and the relaxed hospitality of the locals very much.

Our first camping argument last night with our neighbours who asked us to turn the fan in our RV off. We use it as white noise when the children are sleeping to block out the noise from the campground, and it also helps, when the adults come in to bed, so we don't disturb the children.Then again, in the morning, when Taya wakes at the crack of dawn, not to disturb Dylan.
