Woken early by someone trying to get into my room. I also begrudge paying $2.99 for wi-fi.

We were also surprised to learn that Peggy had driven here in her 1972 VW camper in which we had last ridden in New Jersey in 1972. This same camper had been to England on the QE2 and travelled much of Europe. It also completed the trip from Vancouver to Mexico every year for about 12 years. In fact ...

... back at Santa Barbara. I had a lovely cheese burger. When we got back to the coach, it had lowered itself so that the door got trapped on the curb as it opened. However it didn't open enough for anyone to squeeze in so Adrian had to jack it up in order to get the door open. ... etc. and headed out. We motored around the corner to see the next anchorage. Along the way we came upon many floats tied to ropes marking the location of traps. Back home they would be crab pots. Here they are after lobster. The lobster here are different than those on the east coast. These guys don’t have claws. We were tempted to pull up one of the pots and see if anyone was home but decided the local fisherpeople probably wouldn’t be ...

... one on Hoover Dam, so to see it in the flesh was impressive. I highly recommend all to visit Hoover Dam. Valley of the Fire, was incredible to see also, the different colours of reds and purples in the rocks and sand was amazing and reminded me so much of the Northern Territory back home. Walking in the heat on the red sand made it feel we were right in the heart of the Nevada desert. I had a great day visiting the Valley of the Fire. On our last night we ...
