Woken early by someone trying to get into my room. I also begrudge paying $2.99 for wi-fi.

Carpinteria SP Just Another Day in Paradise

... The highlight of our viewing was a whale midway through the day! We had seen a couple in Encinitas, but this one was much closer and swam by so slowly, coming up out of the water regularly. After the windy stay Gaviota State park today was making my way through Santa Barbara and other towns. It was nice not to have a long ride today only 49 miles. Walk on the beach a warm shower and a cold beer and the day is done. Got chance to catch up on my email at Starbucks, a favorite spot to get some caffiene & check my email. What a surprise to see a blurb about me & my ride in the Adventure Cycling e-newsleter that my wife Nina put in. It made my day but also missing home. ...
