          Shopping ... unsuccessfully

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 08, 2015

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

          Underground caves and snake farm

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 07, 2015

... the caves we stopped at the Animal Park and Snake Farm on the way back to the hotel. There were a huge number of snake types either some brilliant colours and patterns. Outside we saw some cool animals including fennec fox, white lion, macaw, prairie dog and hyenas. Some of the cages seemed inappropriate for the animals, in that they were pretty basic and concrete. For dinner we went to Wendy's and had some ...

One couple was ...

I called the RV hire office in Carson City LA at 9am. "We have one of your RVs that is due back Friday the 11th. I'm calling to ask if it's okay if we bring it back today?" "Of course," said Melissa McCarthy. "You're good to return it up til 4:30 today." "Great. Thank you." "You're welcome, sweetie." A quick bit of mental arithmetic told me getting the RV to Carson by 4:30 was going to be tight. It was a four hour drive from Morro Bay, five to allow for LA afternoon ...

          Mini Family Reunion

A travel blog entry by cruisinseniors on Aug 22, 2013

... than interested. So we started planning. We left San Antonio on 23 July and returned on 11 Aug. except for a couple of semi little things, the trip went smoothly. On the trip up, we pulled into a campground in Sikeston, MO and the steps broke and were swinging in the breeze. We fumed and stewed while some very nice people in the campground helped by tying up the steps. The next day we took a 60 mile detour to ...
