    ... guisada! Sorry Pig Stand, but we have moved up in the breakfast dive world! Then to Central Market to get picnic provisions - a Cuban sandwich, fruit, chocolate, and wine. We drove to the Mission San Jose and parked the truck (free! but we did make a donation). Got on the bikes and then to the Mission Trail we went.

    BTW the Mission Bike Trail is wonderful! It runs through the heart of San Antonio, then south through 4 ...

    Riding with a great group on the 4th of July, Independence Day, to help raise money to help families all over this country be independent again. What can be better?

    ... the grounds. The roses were in full bloom. There were also a number of greenhouses with tropical, desert, palm and fern plants.

    We headed back to the River Walk for dinner at Casa Rio, the oldest restaurant on the River Walk. It opened for business in 1946 and still serves terrific Mexican food. We particularly liked the Texas style chili. And the margaritas were deliciosas!

    There's no basement in the Alamo. Ha ha ha ha! Wah ha ha ha ha!

    Well we didn't actually see the Alamo today because we got in too late but first thing in the morning we are there.
