Today, I ended my holiday break in a very chilly San Antonio. Sorry for the obnoxious title but basketball season is in full throttle and the spurs are my team.(!!!!) Not really, but everyone loves to say that here and rep the spurs with flags and stickers on their cars. Gotta admire that pride, huh? Anyways back to the important stuff, I am feeling very excited but anxious about the next five months. I can't believe the first leg of my journey is already here and about to ...

... mmm enchiladas. Then Evan and I went for a walk downtown and poked around the Alamo a few shops and along the river walk. Then we headed to the Shambhala Meditation Centre to practice together. Morgan met up with us at the centre and we went out for dinner. I tried fish and shrimp tacos quite good! Then a jazz band started playing so overall good food, good music and good conversation! I’m glad I made time to connect with friends ...

Of course we ordered a drink; the small ...

... enough Riverwalking under our belt for one day, we headed up to road-level to get the bus back to the campsite. After missing the next bus, and Anna getting pooed on by a bird while we waited, we managed to get the one afterwards, and eventually got back to the motorhome. Once back, we crossed the road to a Mexican restaurant. It was quite small, very cute, and even more authentic as none of the waitresses spoke English. After using ...

I never mentioned, we skipped heading down to Big Bend National Park, as planned. I had checked the temps there while at Ft Davis and predictions were in the 109 degree zone.Way to hot for humans.

On the 22nd we had a hang out day and walked into Blanco for lunch.

On the 23rd, it was a trip to Austin and a tour of the capital. Both house of reps and senate were in session. The debate was lively in the house with discussion of bill to allow all legislators ...
