Days 2 & 3 took us to the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas. The river was the first with this designation, which it obtained a little more than 40 years ago. For years there was debate as to whether a dam would be built on this river. Eventually, it was decided to keep it running "free." ... the town of Tupelo, MS. They have preserved about an acre of the battlefield, which has a couple of monuments and 2 lonely gravesites. In the picture, you can see the Papa Johns across the street. There is a neighborhood behind the site. Brices Cross Roads is a little further outside the town of Tupelo. -5am wake up -New chore groups, I'm on overnight.
