I have known Kate for over 30+ years and have wanted to see her again. We found a campground about 30 minutes south of her he near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We arrive at the rV park and amidst pulp mills and brick factories. What have we gotten into? The line was about 10 people long with 2 ...

We woke up before the crack of dawn this morning (4:45 am) to make the 2.5-hour drive to Frankfurt airport to return the rental car and catch our flight back to the USA. The journey was uneventful and Ben saved a few more brain cells along the way. We found a good breakfast place at the airport and enjoyed our last German meal and free WiFi. The plane was late boarding and took off nearly 2 hours behind schedule. Rich and ...

The joys of air travel continue to expand, as Lufthansa has now challenged American carriers' dominance in the "worst service in the air" sweepstakes. Rebecca made reservations with United Airlines months ago for herself, Benjamin, and me to fly from RDU to Chicago on a UAL-operated flight and from Chicago to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa-operated flight. Then the fun began:
