    ... at the higher areas at the moment. Some people were going up to ski and snowboard others were mountain biking on the lower sections of the resort. We took some pictures and found some snow that had fallen or was made by a snow machine. Kim got cranky when I threw my first snowball even tho she told me not to do it.     ... that I'd never seen before. The store was nice with a boutique feel. It's actually a consignment store rather than a thrift store; the items are more upscale. Hunter found a darling leather, leopard-print belt for $10. In the back, they have some $5 racks that were fun to look at. We wanted to walk around to see what else was in the area, but there was some construction going on that would've made it difficult.

    ... hostel so walked into the down town area to Powell's Book store, the largest book store in the US.

    Then we walked around the Pearl district and tried a few of the different brew pubs, finished off with a great mac'n'cheese at a place just around the corner from the hostel.

    ... I snagged some jeans from J-Crew. Mel combed through shoe stores. She came up empty-handed today but she has since drawn up new battle plans for tomorrow. We lunched at Director Park (not a green-space at all - concrete and glass) which features the Teachers' Fountain wading pool. Yes, we deserve our own Fountain. And children's wading pool.
