... through the nearby rose garden (still no roses...winter, remember) and stayed indoors for the rest of the day.

I had bought "The Water Diviner" by Andrew Anastasios, when I was at Brisbane Airport and had started getting into I had a recovery afternoon reading...and drying out my pants!

We leave this morning for Portland, Oregon. I have been looking forward to this destination. I will get to visit my Grandparents, this is something very important to me. Molly, our airbnb host in Seattle, has offered to drop us at the train station. That was incredibly nice of her we thought, and once again it saves us a few dollars. We have a 11:15am train on Amtrak. Another new experience, I have caught the train to the Gold Coast from Brisbane but not a ...

... art school hats on and went crazy on rose flower close ups.

After all of that exertion we headed back to the hostel for a nap. After we awoke we headed around the corner for some cheap (but good) sushi for $25 for the two of us and an indie movie in the local cinema.

PDX is a very cool town, love the food, beer, community spirit, water fountains and the gardens.......dont like the rainy and cold prevailing weather!

... of keeping itself weird running neck and neck with Austin! I splurged and bought a deck of cards for $20 that are hand drawn sketches by Aaron Voronoff Trotter that illustrated the “Secrets of Portland”. We felt rather out of sync without tattoos and piercing.

Thirst brought us to a tasty pizza and beer pub not far from the market. It was just what we needed to gather our ...
