    ... which you don't know how fast or hard the slowest member of your family can ride. Is anybody besides me… tired just thinking about this? Note: I have never done a long bicycle tour either.


    Now time to start preparing my body… 1yr before trip I decided to do a smaller tour… easier, coordinated, more local, etc… It’s called Cycle Oregon ( I did the weekend edition)… to prepare I started cycling ...

    ... just staring at the ceiling willing myself back to sleep. Suffice to say that’s done a fat lot of good so my blog writing brain might not be firing on all cylinders, but let’s try…..

    We had one last day in Ubud, Bali before we left so we decided to move our lazy ***** out of the house and go and do something. We were still feeling the comedown of the 2 weeks at the Amed Villa with Eugene and Jess and had not really achieved anything of interest in the past ...

    ... of palace and our room is no exception.

    At 6.30 we were excited to meet up with Callum and Ash for free drinks in our hotel!They have complimentary drinks from 5.30-7.30 each night.

    It was good fun to catch up and have some company. We went out out for a walk and a nice dinner at a local pub.

    ... Federation of Rose Societies. Many people were milling around in the rose garden. The roses are beautiful. It is a must to see in Portland, and it is free. This is really what I wanted to see in Washington Park.
