    ... tanned at the end of May and I look really healthy again! I'm definitely going to miss spending so much time outside. During my three and a half week at Headwaters I saw the world go from greyish to green and every day the property looked a bit more beautiful. It's really special to see the start of spring in the middle of nature.

    Transportation:

    Sleeper bus - great idea but needs to be built to house us giant North Americans
    Hard sleeper train - great way to travel - 6 bunks to a berth. A great way to meet people, air conditioned and pretty smooth
    Plane - pretty cheap to get around and easy on/off.
    Taxi (and scams) - always get an estimate of the price and then ensure meter goes on (from zero). We did ...

    ... lady who was trying to cut ahead of us (very, very rudely). Some nice moves on her - Eleanor threw her a hip and away she went into the ropes! We got shuffled into the line for the electronic customs check and were able to laugh at the butting lady who was still in line when we finished - ha-ha - that's karma baby!!!

    After the slowest baggage unloading I have ever seen (45 minutes at least), Erin pulled up to pick us up - thanks Erin!!

    ... be extra vigilant to avoid frostbite and the like. It's so cold people aren't even going skating or skiing.

    Kaye and I did get a chance to go out and go snow shoeing around the lake and through the trees which was great fun and not as difficult as you might think. The snow shoes these days are mad of light aluminium tubing and plastic webbing with light metal crampons for the ice beneath. You certainly build up some heat walking ...

    ... imagine there was a lot of food and it was all amazing. There was enough for seconds and thirds for everyone and then enough for dinner the next day. Our last night in Winchester was memorable...all I'm going to say is lots of beer, beer pong and late night hot tub fun.
