      Hi

Well we now back in Fenelon Falls. The evening prior to us leaving Quebec we decided to go to the Ice Parade at 8.00pm in the evening. It went for 2 hrs and the temp was -26 deg. The parade was very colourful with people dancing, singing and there were many floats. Unfortunately due to the temp our camera wouldn't work. We bailed out after about 1.5hrs as we were freezing despite having foot and hand warmers in ...

Quebec is a beautiful old walled city which has a citadel in the main part of the city on a cliff over looking the river. The entire river has thick ice requiring the ships coming up river to push through. As with Ottawa there is an ice festival going on, however the one in Quebec is much larger with a lot more activities going on. Beside ...

These aren't what you think they are, they are actually flat croissant type pastries shaped like beaver tails covered in things like maple syrup butter, or Nutella, Apple and cinnamon, lemon and brown sugar. Very tasty and fattening.

      Hi all

We hope everyone is fine back home. We have been enjoying an overnight fall of snow which has coated everything in snow and caused a number of snow drifts. The snow plough has been working overtime keeping the road and driveway out to Harriett and Paul's Island clear.

We have enjoyed a couple of outdoor BBQ sessions cooking some roast lamb one night and a pork roast another night. It ...

... imagine there was a lot of food and it was all amazing. There was enough for seconds and thirds for everyone and then enough for dinner the next day. Our last night in Winchester was memorable...all I'm going to say is lots of beer, beer pong and late night hot tub fun. So we left Winchester for Ottawa again to get to Belleville were we was getting picked up from to go to Hastings near Peterborough. Going to all these places is ...
