    ... some photos. The next hike we did was a quick 1 mile hike called the Scrub Ridge walk. This walk was along a marsh and there was no shade so it was very hot. We remembered to put on our hats so that helped a little. The guy at the visitor center said there were little scrub birds that live there and when they saw people they would gather around them and ask for food.     ... leave early and reconnoiter the path to the Merritt Island air field, (it really is an air field!) I do this for 2 reasons; one I want to make sure I am on time, and two, I love using the word reconnoiter both in speech and print! I find it is pretty much as the Google math puts it and it is 30 minutes driving time, prolly more with late day traffic.

    ... front wall part. As the presentation ended the front wall opened up and the shuttle Atlantis was RIGHT THERE. It was brilliantly staged. You could also do a simulated shuttle launch - strapped into a seat that then turns vertical and shakes you about. Delivers some Gs but not realistic ones but 'accelerates' you up to 75000mph (hence Mach 23 in the title).

    ... house, they had 5 dogs a cat and a rabbit as well. The rabbit was fluffy, the cat was old and the dogs were crazy. There were 2 big dogs: wheener and sugar. A little teckle called sergeant schultz. And 2 chiwawa's. the girl chiwawa called dude and the manly one called toot. The dogs just climbed on you, licked you and the chiwawa's kept dropping *****.
