      Avon, Ohio to Paducah, Kentucky

... a good way .... I feel like I am on an airplane. I just hope I have all my fillings when I wake up (that's IF I can get to sleep).

Off to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma tomorrow to see my friend, Cindy. She is one of my best friends from high school days in Ric*******, Texas. I will finally get to meet her husband and her son, who just became a commissioned officer in the Coast Guard.

Ciao! Or since I am in Kentucky - "see y'all".

No trip to the States is complete without a road trip, so we decided to drive from St Louis to Nashville.

We were definitely glad we did otherwise we would have missed views of the Great Plains, Rend Lake, Kentucky Dam and Metropolis, Illinois - home of Superman! The great museum is filled with Superman memorabilia and made a good stop on the way to our next stop and home of our good friend Ashley!!!

This year, however we decided to drive. It takes about 15 hours. We choose to make our first night stop in Metropolis Illinois. You may associate this name with the one and only Superman. No, we did not meet Superman like my son had hoped but we did see his statue and I ...

... s home and company owners a sustainable alternative to gas, oil and electrical heating; all of which make use of non-renewable fossil fuels to create heat for the house. Instead of this, Heat Pumps utilize the natural heat which exists within the atmosphere and ground to generate the exact same heat. The Air Source Heat Pump is possibly the hardest of the three to figure out. In the opposite method to how a refrigerator takes heat from the interior of ...

Started the day on a tour of Carter Cave. There were enough bats flying around that we started calling Clay 'Robin'. The tour ended with seeing a waterfall in the cave. Very Cool. Next stop was Fort Boonesborough. This is the town founded by Daniel Boone. We got to see what life was like for the Kentucky pioneers in 1775. We saw a weaver, a carpenter, and a blacksmith. We also got to watch as they made charcoal. You simply start a fire, then cover it with dirt and ...
