Zion, monument valley and arches..

We also went to Monument Valley and Arches national park in Utah, after the grand canyon (which is in arizona). We met a guy called Matt at the grand canyon and him and his dog Ted came with us. It took about 5 hours to get to get there, all on desert roads. There are a lot of native indians along the way with stalls selling really nice jewellery that they make.

Made it to Utah again...
... about ten years of drought and then things got back to “normal”, if such a thing exists. Near Beaver, Utah, I’ve been told, there’s a ski area, newly purchased by some folks. Last year they had adequate snow, but so far, this year, it’s been a bust. I usually say that I don’t have much control over the weather and try to leave it in God’s hands. A big change in temp
... up ahead. It started to rain and so I stopped and put on my wonderful heavy duty rain suit. This sure kept the rain off but certainly never kept the cold out. The temperature had fallen dramatically now and it was really freezing. I stopped at a garage and filled up and carried on at 80mph towards Salt Lake City.
