... in the water. Your adrenaline is pumping as you know it is only a matter of minutes before you head out. I had to pinch myself to think I was about to fulfil a 20year dream. Tara was also looking nervous and I couldn't quite believe how brave she was in having no hesitation to join me in this adventure. When it was our turn to go, the skipper's shouting "GO GO GO" and off we went, into the deep blue swimming madly towards our spotter keeping our eyes peeled for what was ...

... forests, lush mountains, grazing lands, and hidden Pfeiffer Beach. We also saw Point Sur Lighthouse atop a massive volcanic rock just offshore and Bixby Bridge which is 260 feet in the air and the sight of numerous car commercials. We both agreed that this is one of the most beautiful areas in California that we have seen thus far. Our next stop is Yosemite National Park. It snowed in the mountains so we'll see how much of the park we'll be able to ...

In order to get to Monterey at a reasonable time today, we had to set off by 7. That's tents down, bags repacked, washed and breakfast before 7. Our first official stop today (except gas stop/pee stops) was to see elephant seals close up, stretched out on the sand sunbathing or fighting in the waves. We headed further up the coastal route/ Big Sur and actually saw whales off the coast! After ...

... seemed to close early on Sunday. We decided to get some takeout sushi from a place closer to our hotel. We haven’t been very lucky this trip getting the first floor (we want it because we have so much luggage). We told our receptionist at the hotel, and not only did she get us a first floor room, it was directly in front of a parking spot and right next to the laundry room, so I was finally able to do laundry the right way. The ...

... we'd better have an early start with a late finish I'm sure. Haven't said yet how nice everybody here in California is so if we get in trouble tomorrow I'm sure a nice pick up driver will help! Peter keeps saying he can't keep up with me, might be the extra stuff he's carrying or his extra weight. It's been nice sitting around the fire in the bar writing this but asked to leave, it's only 9.30! Ok back to our cabin, no TV here lucky I guess that there's ...
