... we were chatting about our kid's intense medical history, etc. She was encouraged to create a brochure about her son's syndrome, medical history, etc. Believe me, there are times when it's much easier to hand a brochure instead of asking the medical professional, "do you have a week....?" She carries them with her in her bag. I think it's even a good idea to have everywhere we go!

The kids and families were tired on the bus ride back to the hotel. It was an exciting and humbling day. These kids will continue to fight their fights in their medical journeys. Trey and his Mom travel to Maryland twice a year for a major part of his care in addition to local medical visits 3 - 4 times a week.

When you lay down tonight to sleep and close your eyes, say an extra prayer for these kids and ...

Slow morning for us. Just had Dinner at Willies Diner. Ate alligator, crawfish, shrimp, and duck! Oh yeah...and we sat next to Kenny Rogers! Chris was starstruck. Nice guy! So handsome and tall. Left New Orleans this morning. It was fantastic. Wish we could have spent a week there. We saw Dr. J in the lobby. As we were walking out there were three Bentleys in the valet area. We drove to Baton Rouge, then took Highway 61 north to Monroe. We left Longview about 11am. Arrived West Monroe about 2pm with a couple of stops for dog walks/potty breaks. Drove to the local Walmart to buy batteries for Donna's camera.
