    ... evening I returned to the neighborhood with more people from my house to attend the Beer & Hymns organized within the church. There was a range of drinks available, from cider to whiskey, and we all sat down in the living room decorated with Christmas lights, to sing hymns and songs together with about 20 people. They ranged from simple, to 8-part simultaneous choruses (what is that called when you sing the same thing, starting at different times :P?). ...

    ... After a few breaks for food and drink we went onto Lincoln park, the largest in Chicago supporting soccer fields, tennis courts, basket ball courts, baseball field, nature walk with lake, a very large free zoo, conservatory housing tropical plants and further on is a golf course. If you are driving I think parking is expensive. We did go to the zoo, a very well maintained area for both animals and visitors - although I really enjoyed the visit was torn with certain animals ...

    ... going on, and the weather was absolutely freezing but all in all it was just a bit sad.
    A majority of the animals were indoors. but one poor polar bear, one tiger and a lion were left out to play, all on there own and it wasn't the best fun to watch them pacing. The ugly smelly camels at the other end of the park seemed happy enough though.
