Tracy will be posting stuff soon. She wants to add photo's to her comments. (Hard to get good help) We have pretty much not got to bed before 12 each night, that's how full the days have been. Because it does not get dark until about 9, we don't have dinner until 10. Then getting everyone sorted out, time disappears.

... to SF in his jeep. As Mark would have had to catch a train or bus, he naturally jumped at the chance of going with Karston. After Mark had left, we packed up our bits and left Strawberry Creek, heading out of the park towards Mariposa.

Mariposa was an unexpected delight - just a small strip of stores in the middle of nowhere but some of the buildings were old - 1901 and there was even an authentic place to "hitch ...

... time to drive to the main Sequoia grove in the south of the park, so we decide to go to smaller Merced Grove. On the way, we noticed a few cars parked on the main road along with a park ranger vehicle next to some woodland. We decided to park and find out what had made everyone stop and as we entered the forest we saw that a crowd of people had gathered. We hurried to the front of the crowd, where we saw a large brown bear in the vegetation foraging for food. ...
