I checked out of my hotel in Dallas and headed home. I drove until the evening and then found a hotel in Memphis, TN.

Early rising after another night with Jja and their adopted house pets. On the road by 7am anticipating the 8h drive. We pulled into Memphis at 3pm after a few quick stops. Received by the most adorable couple, Tom and Sandy, who own the Talbot Heirs guesthouse. A super cute and centrally located hotel in the center of Memphis with gorgeous local artwork (we had a George Hunt painting in our room!). How has this motel rated in the past?
The room was what you'd expect from a Motel 6 although there were some maintenance issues. For instance, there was no latch on the bathroom door and it wouldn't stay closed completely. My main complanint is that the Internet service, which costs about $3 extra, was terrible. It was too slow to watch video.
