    ... my 6am flight was cancelled. My international connection was already a tight turnaround. By chance I found a magic phone number for Air Canada, which led to them sending me, by taxi, to another city for a different flight. This made my new turnaround time barely do-able. I was advised that I MUST ensure the bags are checked straight through to my destination.

    ... from the 1800s, asphalt and methane still bubbles from underground vents. Around are life sized statues of a mammoth family and a lone mastodon. Ricky went through the page musuem and had a religious experience as he came out.
    We drove down to the Hollywood walk of fame and saw the Chinese Theatre and the walk of fame pavement. Had a fantastic salad at the Pig and Whistle then drove to a rest stop to camp for the night.

    ... steered me out of the situation and out of the area before I responded to this little ditty...

    We run outside, across a parking lot, across an inside parking garage then into Terminal 2 crossing 6 lanes of traffic - not at the lights - we made it and we have 1 hour until takeoff. We go in and see another very long go through security...this is worse than the amazing race!

    ... is there a secure area to store your luggage (too many idiots shooting or planting bombs) so we can't leave the Airport unless we book a hotel room for the day. Looks like we won't be going to Venice Beach or touring LA now. Found a trolley (you have to pay $5.00 for one with no refund) and loaded all our bags on and spent the day walking around the International Airport looking at the very few shops had coffees, large muffin cut in two (no Tim Horton's) and Chinese meal for lunch. ...
