We got up extra early today to make our way to the Warner brothers vip tour at 8.30am. We also knew there was a 5k run on hollywood boulevard that morning which might make our way there difficult! (We tend to be thwarted by runs/marathons quite often now!) Thankfully we made it by 8.15 to join the first tours of the day. We got into a little golf buggy and were taken round the site by a lady called Catherine. ...

Jet lag is a funny thing. We didn't sleep too bad! Strangely. The bed is comfortable and it's relatively quiet but I woke at 12am and stayed awake for about an hour and Damian woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep. Only bonus of waking up so early was that we watched the sun rise over the city of LA. The trip took around 50 minutes and we saw the really nice parts of LA and some real slum areas. We got off at Fairfax and were really excited to be back plus I was starving! We decided to go straight back to Phil's where we went last year and we both ordered the same, eggs, toast and hash brown except Andrew added bacon. It was beautiful, ...

... morning. I told the guys behind the counter that I was expecting someone to drop off my phone early in the morning for room 220, if they could keep an eye and leave me a message on the phone in our hotel room. Then, as I was so thirsty, I went on a hunt to find something to drink which was kind of hard as both the shop and the restaurant were already closed. I ended up using my hotel room card to enter a the little gym on a level below the lobby that was open 24/7 for hotel ...

All but one of us, Mark being the early bird up at 8:00, slept until 9:30! Egad, can't remember the last time we slept so late.

It was predicted to be in the mid-90’s today, so Mac and Josie went straight to swimsuits this morning, with Cheryl quickly following. Mark stayed inside for a bit longer, joining all of us at the pool around 12:30 p.m. Of course, the staff came by several times with popsicles.
