Yesterday we traveled from Mississippi and across Louisiana almost to Texas -- it was a fairly long drive, but Sassy and Odie were good travelers. In fact, they spent (as always) the whole time driving in their carriers -- we open them up, but they just stay inside and look out at us. Oh well . . . . . ...

Wednesday feb 18 the weather was warmer. We packed up and headed to Oak Alley Plantation (1200 acres) about an hour west of New Orleans. We arrived around 10:30. Randy and I went to Kroger's for ingredients for tonight’s jambalaya and we ran into a friend of his, a man a little older than him who is also planning on going to the concert tonight!

Back home we did a ...

    ... corn flour!!!

We ate fried ALLIGATOR (surprisingly yummy!), FROG LEGS (too fishy for me), fried catfish (delish!), and grilled fish (delish!), in addition to excellent french fries, super-buttery broccoli, and a little green salad.

Randy talked to the owner, who he knows, and got him to let us go around and check out the back of the restaurant. We met a couple of the chefs, stepped inside the big seafood ...
