    Day 18 - Universal Studios Hollywood

    Up early (again!) to ensure we would get our full money's worth at Universal Studios Hollywood. After considering various transport options, we decided to drive on the recommendation of site owner Steve. We left at 8am, straight into the thick of the Los Angeles morning rush hour traffic. As we crawled along the highway, the RV fuel light came on. At least this would be our final fill-up, and we would only have to be a quarter full to hand back the vehicle.

    ... is typical of all of Europe or just happen to be that way in Rome. Customs was a breeze and our airport transfer was super easy to find. We even got a history lesson on some of the Roman architecture during our 30 min ride into the city. Can't wait to write more later today. Our entire first day in Rome has much, much more to share with lots and lots of pics. See you soon!

    I'm in a bar in LAX waiting for our flight home while Jerry checks the Ravens score online. FYI and TMI, I have a bad urinary tract infection which should make the 5 hour flight home a hoot.

    ... 5 cent diner" just down the street from our hotel, Rob had found it online because I really wanted to go to a classic American diner. Apparently while they were renovating the diner they found some of the old previous diner's advertising and prices behind which they now have left uncovered.
