On our apres-fruhstuck walk, we saw cranes, cranes everywhere. The whole of Gay Street, where we live, was blocked and full of them. Oh, these are the lifting kind of cranes, not the flying kind that I like to chase. They're using a very big crane to take something from the top of one of the high buildings. ... I'm close to town this time too! Last trip, I stayed on the far end of the island and although it is quieter up on the North end, it's also very remote.
So, for now, I wait. And wait, and wait and wait! Confirmation in hand, contract in the mail and list of items to get started!!

... recommend this campground if coming to see Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
The camp ground is in wears valley with mountains pretty much surrounding the valley. It's secluded enough to relax but only 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge and about 20 minutes to Gatlinburg. Less than 30 minutes to Cades Cove.
We will stay here again if we come up this way.
