    After the exciting but necessary laundry in Grangeville, we headed north through fields of canola (see note on picture). They were gorgeous and eye-jolting - enough to wake us up!

    ... Longview in the grand tradition of small towns has found their niche with squirrel bridges. Seriously tree suspension bridges made so the squirrels can cross the street overhead without being run over . The kids were amused by these bridges. We also were able to visit my cousin Jenny's apartment. It is amazing to see how well she is doing on her own.
