... There are many stories that are heartbreaking to hear. 71 people died. The drive from Silverlake Visitor Center to Johnston Observatory was abearlyout 50 miles across. Very scenic drive with lots of beautiful overlooks. Mount St. Helens was always in view and got more spectacular the closer we got to the observatory. The weather was perfect with very few clouds so we had great views of the mountain. By the end of our trip ...

... the mesas in Colorado, and everywhere in between, we found beauty in the surroundings and in the people. We are thankful that we had no mechanical problems as we saw everything that we had hoped and so much more.

It feels a little odd to be home after these two months on the road. We have many new memories from the road, and we are thankful that we have been able to share them along the way with family and friends via this blog. Thanks for reading.

Rolled into the driveway yesterday around 1900. The trip is over too soon, and now it looks like I may not be going out to work until next week. Damn, I could have spent more time with family and friends. 3 weeks is not enough time for that type of trip so the next one will stay closer to home. Maybe just Oregon and Washington, there are still a ton of quality roads to ride that I haven't seen yet in these two ...
