... simple conversation and relationship building. We're all human, and it's natural that we both need help. My mindset of judging those who say they "get something" out of service changed, because sometimes we need that too. It was a really meaningful experience. We hung out our creations in the dining hall and then headed upstairs to make cookies with the teens. They were a little hesitant at first, but once we got to talking, they warmed up. Menu Item: Ribs & Brisket Plate with Spicy Slaw

Notes: Today was one of the first days after they changed their name from Oklahoma Joe's to Joe's Kansas City

Comments: Best ribs I've ever eaten. They had a unique taste unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The dry rub on them was perfect. The meat just fell off the bone and was extremely tender. The tender, medium cut brisket had an initial smoky bite to it ...

... Jordan and Owen were so convinced, in fact, that they schemed up a plan to surprise Bill and Regina.  Yes, this was a very well thought out attempt at showing them how (not) surprised we were.  ‘Let’s get off the plane last.’ ‘We should hold up a sign that says ‘Surprise…not!’ ‘I think we should just walk past them like we don’t know them.’  These were all ideas ...
