          Started seeing cactus as we were nearing the Mojave Desert ---The Mojave Desert reminded me of some of the scenes of Breaking Bad when Walter White and Jessie were out in the desert. I was thinking to myself 'what lives in this desert'? I'm sure rattlesnakes, scorpions, lizards, armadillo --- YIKES!!!! The Mojave Desert is actually at a high elevation - I would not have thought that.

          ... sure what kind, but sure makes you walk gingerly around the trees/shrubs in the yard...not that I was scared or anything. Kids got up and wanted to get into the pool.
